 The author is an encourager and counsellor with a deep desire to see God’s people excel in their callings. He has an unquenchable passion for helping people to enter into their destiny. Akeem Shomade combines his personal and professional experiences with God’s Word to produce a book designed to set God’s people free from the stronghold of fear.
Akeem specialises in the pensions sector of the financial services industry. He holds a B.A. (Hons) in Insurance and is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK). He believes that while our professions may provide us with a good standard of living, we are only abundantly blessed when our work gives us a sense of fulfilment because we are doing God’s will.
Coming from a Muslim background, Akeem’s desire is to call people to repentance and be reconciled with God through the saving power of Jesus’ blood. He challenges readers to start a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father and discover their individual callings in life.
Akeem's other passion is to see the dismantling of denominational walls within the church so that the body of Christ may operate in unity of purpose and spirit. It is his prayer that the perfect love of Christ will cast out all the fears caused by cultural and theological differences.
He is happily married to Folahan and their union is blessed with two children (Kazeem and Abiodun). They fellowship at House on the Rock – The London Lighthouse Parish which believes in seeing Jesus in every page of the Bible. In line with the mandate of House on the Rock, Akeem seeks to be a hand that shows forth the divine power, a bridge to the nations and a voice of excellence.
